Christmas giveaways

Panic! We were told that there will be an exchange of tokens for co-residents and fellows a week before the party. It was a short notice that i got to worry what to give, not to mention the need to cut the budget since we are the ones who will shoulder the food (first year ehem). Thanks to my shopaholic prowess, i know where to find stuffs at a lower price. The secret to mass gift-giving is buying in bulk. Since i was short of time, there's no chance I could go to Divisoria and tiyangges to find cheap stuff. Besides, going there during this season is really "buwis-buhay" LOL... For the girls, I find it easier to find kikay gifts that could also be useful at the same time.
These are Bath and Body works vanity case worth $10 each, i got them in bulk together with Victoria's Secret and Clinique cosmetic cases. Lot of 20 for only Php960 at Ebay. Thanks to my favorite seller http://myworld.ebay.ph/jnlink777 for saving the day!
I also added up these Bon Bons flavored swirl lip glosses. 15 pieces for only less than 500 pesos. Really a steal :))
Done with my girls, the difficult part is shopping for guys. I'm really not an expert in gift-giving so I asked a guy friend for help :) thanks tian. We came across Saizen Japanese store in Ali Mall and grabbed these car accessories. Everything is at a fixed price of 85pesos. It's a bigger version of Daiso!
The adrenaline rush kept on, luckily I found this lifesaver store in Ali Mall named "As Is Where Is" I think it's an outlet store of Gourdo's, (the shopping bags are labeled Gourdos). This store is really amazing. It carries brands like Arcopal, Rubbermaid, Sleepcare, Lacoste etc....things that our moms would really love. Most of the stuffs here are for the kitchen and housekeeping, but to my luck I found these lovely iHip earphones, bought them for half the price off!
Lastly, who wouldn't wanna grab a Sleepcare Anti-Mite and Anti-Bacterial pillow. I was able to grab this King size pillow for a way lower price :D A steal for a little below 500 pesos :D

it's been almost 3 mos of being officially a first yr resident. so far im ok. im missing lot's of friends from med school, but im starting to meet new friends at work. ive been busy, but fair for a jumpstart :) hoping that everything is well until i finish.

tomorrow is my final interview. done with the two weeks of observation period. of course the usual, not everyone there seems nice. but i guess wherever i go, jerks are along the way. maybe the only difference is how subtle other jerks could be. again, i am plainly emotionless. i don't want to anticipate anything. no expectations, no whatever. like ike said, this is a roadless map... the past days i took the chance to rest. i started on thinking about future plans, but then, what works for me is living for today. plans are good, but i don't want to keep on dwelling on the future. sudden unexpected changes may ruin it anyways. I'll let God this time. just keeping the faith going :) Uberrimei fidei Of the utmost good faith

today is our monthsary...but sadly i won't be able to celebrate it with him...btw i don't wanna entertain these sad thoughts...im just glad we're doin ok now. the past days were really good. last weekend i was able to spend the whole day with my college friends. we had a great time. most of them are doin good starting their career. what an envy. ill be spending more years finishing med...i really wish i cud do good. i missed these folks a lot. time flies too fast. now we hardly meet...im afraid the next five years would be a drastic change. well success on each one's goals i suppose...most of them are planning to make it abroad...i still hope we could hold on and still afford to reunite till old age... im getting quite nervous for the coming opening of classes...i don't know maybe im too paranoid thinking of many situations beforehand. im praying hard that i will be able to adjust graciously and be able to make it. honestly im avoiding some people...i just don't...
